Launch of New Frontier

New Frontier is launched as a venture builder and investor with a focus on technology and healthcare ventures. The firm is founded by Mr. Antony Leung and Mr. Carl Wu, together with a group of financial professionals, entrepreneurs, and industry experts from Asia.

New Frontier’s Innovation platform is known to be able to launch a new company / concept within 8 weeks by following the NF Start-up Playbook. The team has been successful at launching companies such as Boxful using the playbook and is looking to replicate that at various new ventures under New Frontier.

Prior to founding New Frontier, Mr Antony Leung has had a long and illustrious career in finance, government and real estate. Antony was the Chairman of Greater China and a member of the Executive Committee at Blackstone. He was also the Chairman of Asia for JP Morgan, Country Corporate Officer of Citigroup for China and Hong Kong, Regional Treasurer for North Asia, Head of Investment Banking for North and South West Asia and Head of Private Banking for Asia. In public office, Mr Leung was the Financial Secretary of Hong Kong from 2001 to 2003.

Mr Carl Wu was a Managing Director at Blackstone and had executed some of Blackstone’s most important investments in China. He was a founding member of Blackstone Asia and was instrumental in establishing Blackstone’s businesses across China. Together with Mr Leung, he set up the first RMB Investment fund in Asia for Blackstone. Prior to moving to Hong Kong, Mr Wu was based in Blackstone’s London office. Before joining Blackstone, he worked at UBS in London.
